Founded in 1956 by John and Margaret Strang, J & M Strang began as a petrol filling station and carrier business in Kincardine O' Neil, Aberdeenshire. With one small truck carrying general goods and livestock, the business served the local public, farms/estates and businesses.

Over the years the business diversified into tipper haulage and supply of quarry materials, serving the trade, public and local authorities.
